Script

A script written by a combined effort of W.P and R.P. Coming up with this script allows us to direct the voice acting far better, it means that we can begin recording as soon as we are ready, and we will have the exact lines we will wish to use.

We also added emotional direction into each of the lines however this is something that will need further development later due to each person’s reaction and understanding of the emotions and how to convey them.

Due to only having 2 characters within the scene and a monster the script itself is short and mostly contains one person talking to themselves. This is because what the character is saying relates to the player far more. Often things will be said that relate to the puzzles or the story and what the character says to himself are for the player.

This way we can give the player hints to what to do next without directly breaking any form of immersion.

Game Script

game script.png

This is the flowchart put together by R.P, and it is based on the game script above (made by both W.P and R.P). The purpose of this flowchart is so we have an idea on how the overall game will work, and to determine where each process and action will take the player, whether that is through returning to free roam until a certain task is complete, or making progress through the story; for example, if the player finds a locked door only to find that he/she doesn’t have the required key item, the game will not allow the player to make progress unless he/she finds the key during free roam.
