Modelling

In order to ensure that all the modelling is done on time to a satisfactory standard it was important to share some of the modelling responsibilities. Due to this I was tasked with making smaller assets for the background.

Barrels, one of the most common asset to add in a video game. I wanted to start off with a very blood soaked style barrel which looks as though a person may have been dumped inside of it or perhaps a person has collapsed on top of it while bleeding. However, this was an issue as the barrel cannot be reused or put on the floor, instead it only has a single function, therefore I created another barrel with less blood which can be re-purposed and reused around the level.

A scalpel is a smaller asset that can be put on a small table and will not be looked at aggressively. I added some light and dry blood to it to show that it was used however not cleaned and instead it might be used again soon.

folder.png

A folder with the name of the protagonist on the front, this will be a key item for the story of the game. It will only be an optional item for the player to see however it was something that I decided should be in the game to provide further story telling as it is something that cannot be done naturally with a monster chasing the main character. This folder will be sitting in a clean office and so it is also fairly clean, recently coming from a hospital it makes sense for it to be fresh, new and clean.
