Lighting

When planning the production phase of this product roles was assigned to each individual. Originally G.A had the responsibility of creating the lighting FX for the level and even did the research for it - throughout the production phase G.A was unavailable to do a variety of job, lighting being one due to unforeseen circumstances. When i was re-arranging the level that R.P created, i added the roof assets and terrain textures. I also decided to test lighting the environment to give R.P a head start when the level was returned to him.

Firstly i changed the current sky-box from day to a night time settings and ensured the lighting was sourced from the sky-box, after this i added a directional light with a diffused blue colour and decreased the intensity to match the night time vibe. After this i made the decision to add a reflection probe in order to further push the realistic lighting and creating light reflection/refraction inside the warehouse.

After i did this, i returned the file back to R.P who carried out the final polishing of the environment with feedback from myself and W.P.
